Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented type of psychotherapy. In sessions, we examine any unhelpful thinking patterns and underlying core beliefs. We then work to challenge areas that are no longer true, or are not supportive of you as you work towards your goals. Homework assignments are used to continue to bring awareness to patterns of thinking and behavior throughout the week. We work together to determine the best ways to interrupt old patterns and replace them with new patterns that support your emotional and mental health.

This approach is especially helpful for:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Addiction

  • Disordered eating
